Getting Ready is Half the Fun!
Wow! In less than two weeks I'm leaving for the Republic of Georgia, home of the world's oldest wine culture, and topography that goes from the shores of the Black Sea to the Caucasus Mountains!! Georgia is bordered by Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, and, of course, the Black Sea. The debate continues as to whether it is in Europe, Asia, or the Middle East, and I don't expect to answer that question, just enjoy three weeks of exploration, wine tasting, dining delights, ohhing and ahhing, amazing culture, and spending quality time with my significant other!
I'll arrive in Tbilisi, the capital city, on the afternoon of October 1st, so don't expect any action here until after that. It's a twenty-three hour and fifty-five minute plane trip, not counting travel and wait times at both ends, so I foresee some sleeping before any meaningful blogging occurs, unless you count: "Here's what Turkish Airlines serves"!
Thanks for coming with me, and I hope you enjoy the trip!
Looking forward to it! 22!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Me, too! It IS hard to believe!!
DeleteI guess Georgia must really be on your mind! :-)
ReplyDeleteAs long as it's not a rainy night in Georgia!
Delete24 hours on a plane???? That is mind blowing....but the trip will be worth it I know...can't wait for the pictures and commentary....
ReplyDeleteYea, it's kind of a drag! But I've done it before and survived, and with even less of a pay off at the end! Hope you enjoy it!!
